Works very well for good to high quality pencils.
A fantastic sharpener, would definitely recommend, the tabletop clamp doesnt close enough for a glass desk though, but lovely to use, stops sharpening when pencil has reached maximum point to prevent wearing down the pencil, however, this doesnt seem to work for low quality wood that is old and unable to wittle smooth, but for good quality pencils this is fantastic. Very Easy push opening sawdust tray, fairly easy access to inside the mechanism if the lead breaks inside the sharpener, needs a bit of a knack to twist it back together but overall very pleased with this sharpener.

If you hate sharpening pastel pencils with a blade then buy this sharpener:-)
This has been a great purchase. It sharpens all sorts of pencils including pastel pencils to a lovely long point. Wildlife artist Jason Morgan did a review on several bench sharpeners and I liked the way this one performed. It seems very sturdy so I expect it to last. It was a good price and arrived quickly in very protective packaging. Can't ask for more!

Does the job
This is without doubt the best sharpener I have tried. So happy with it. The points are pin sharp. So easy to use and easy to clean the blade area. Once an old pencil nib snapped inside (mini panic) but having removed the turning handle brushed it out easily and back to business. Highly recommend this product.

Colouring
If you love doing detailed colouring then this is the sharper for you, it grinds the pencil and after about three turns of the handle you get the finest point I have ever had from a sharpener-a must for all who enjoy drawing and colouring!!

Derwent manual desktop pencil sharpener
This is the best sharpener I’ve ever used, so easy to put together, and sharpens my Prismacolor pencils to a nice point. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Easily To the point.
Easy to use to get super sharp point with a few turns. Does not clamp firmly to a desk using the enclosed clamp but then I read it’s better to hold sharpener down with one hand and trun crank with the other. That works pretty easily and also leaves flexible where to place the harpener.

Best sharpener ever
Great sharpener, it has transformed my drawing and the detail I can produce! I first tried an expensive different make and was very very disappointed. This one is brilliant!

Amazing point
Amazing point, just like the name says super point. I think the best sharpener for colour pencils and I have tried a few.

Fabulous pencil points
Appears to have good quality inner workings. One of the top plastic grips keeps coming loose but nothing a blob of superglue won't cure.
