New life for my old 18v DeWalts
This is a great adapter. I have bought several. I would have given 5 stars, but it is a copy of the DeWalt. The new batteries are so much better than the old 18v NiCads and the old design Lithium batteries are so much more expensive (they were good). An excellent option for using newer battery platforms.

It does work… hence my 4 out of 5 star rating
This adapter does work… spring clip release is IMHO a little hard to remove. Form fit and finish is not perfect but may get better over time, which I am ok with after thinking about it. Life saver!
I love these - bought the set after fighting with the Dewalt brand name one many times - I can't get that $$ POS off to save my life & it's so frustrating when working at the end of the day. You would have to have giant man hands & even then I am skeptical. These replacements work like a dream, easy to get on & off & do what they are supposed to. & now I just leave one on each of my tools that needs an adapter & I don't even have to worry about changing it. This Works Well and Does it's Job as intended.

Great option for those that can't afford to upgrade to new 20v tools all at once.
Cheaper than replacement 18v batteries or buying new tools. Unless you count buying the 20v batteries, but the 20v batteries have a nice button that displays the charge level on them. I replaced my reciprocating saw with a 20v model, picked up a couple extra 20v batteries for future upgrades. These adaptors allow me to keep using the 18v tools while upgrading to 20v tools as needed when cost effective to do so. Worked on my drill/driver, hammer drill, circular saw and impact driver. Does not work on my 18v pin nailer. I bought an adapter for each tool for convenience of use. Great option to upgrade tools at my on pace instead of just replacing bad 18v batteries at $100 apiece while continuing to use the same battery style for old and new tools.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Great fix for my older tools, but extremely hard to remove it.
This is a great product to update my 18 volt working DeWalts. My only complaint is that it is very hard to get off the tool in order to move it to another tool. Useful as a part, dangerous to use as shipped
There is literally no protection circuitry inside this unit. B+ and B- wired directly to the top terminals. As this item is shipped, it is not suitable for use. The recommended use for this would be to buy this along with a 5S 30A protection pcb and wire it up inside the unit. Unlike the genuine unit, this one connects all the terminals on the lithium battery allowing a real BMS to be installed. A real BMS will protect the battery, but will NOT protect against sticking the adapter on the charger. A real BMS will also not drain the battery overnight like the genuine Dewalt adapter does.
