Welcome Replacement
I have been using soft lead sheeting to prevent marring of clamped tiems. That doesn't help on cylindrical items as the surface contact from the jaws is minute and ineffecient at best. These new jaw shields provide both flat surfaced clamping as well as odd shaped grooved clamping for other than flat materials. I found the magnets used for holding position on the jaws while they are open are relatively week and be aware the jaw covers could release their hold and fall to the floor. I an happy with the construction & materials they are made of, and the quality is good. I had ordered one set of the 4"covers as well as one set of the newly available 6" set but had received two sets of 4" covers. I have not resolved this as yet, and it could have been an ordering error on my part. I don't know yet.

A fine product
Good vise jaw-pads. They are hard enough to be able to hold tight, but soft enough to conform to the surface of the material being vised, and they don't appear to reduce the clamping force of the vise. My old jaws were badly damaged, after many years of hard use. Without removing them, I was able to slap these magnetic pads onto the vise, and it's better than new. Each pad can be attached with either flat surfaces facing each other, or grooved surfaces facing each other, making it really easy to grip round or uneven materials. The only downside is that you lose about 5/8 inch of vise capacity. That doesn't bother me, as I am usually working on materials no larger than 2 inches. But if you really need the full capacity of your vise's jaws to hold a large object, you'll need to pull these pads off, and use the original jaws.

Nylon soft jaws
The little magnets are cool. They help hold on the jaws to the vice. Have not yet had the chance to do any barrel work with these jaws but they look very durable and great for work holding. I really like the multi-cut angles and different sizes for the v-cuts. Very good design.

Sticky Vice Jaws
Who would have believed that something made in Australia, could be this good. Really works well, sticks to the vice jaws, so does not move around too much. I was surprised to also find that metal shavings also stick to the soft jaws, meaning less to clean up after a filing session.

Perfect for the Gunsmith
These vise jaws are just what I needed for the my shop. I have other ones that are not magnetic and they will not be used very much I am sure. Used these the first day I received them for working on a shotgun. Excellent value and will order more if the need ever comes up.

Good quality product!
Nice Vise jaws. I don't have any experience with other vise jaws for comparison, but these work great and are made in Australia. Appear to be good quality and the magnets are strong.

Does the job at a good price.
Did a good job protecting the finish while securely holding my Glock slide. Magnets make attachment easy.

Fits like a glove on my Wilton 4"
Nice precision cuts and angles. Gives on the point of pressure but doesn't slip. Great grip! Material looks and feels durable. I can't see it cracking under pressure. High recommend!
