keeps your old analog TV going strong
Pros: One of the only digital to analog boxes available in the US with S-Video, which produces a much sharper image than RCA cables; in my opinion as good as HD from a distance. When friends learn this is OTA (over the air antenna), they ask themselves why they have cable. Cons: 1) Our previous box, Channel Master 7000, had a TV guide in the menu showing what was coming up later on different channels. This box only tells you what you are watching right now. 2) This box does not seem to allow you to add channels manually. This is a problem if you have a fixed indoor antenna that picks up some channels in one position and others in another position. How do you know when to move the antenna while it is doing an autoscan? Other: No reviews indicate these boxes have limited life, unlike some. My Channel Master 7000, also S-video capable, died after 7 years when the power button turned red and would not ever change color. Bad capacitors on that one according to reviews.

Works as advertised and easy to set up.
This converter works great and has some neat features. It was so easy to set up just following the instructions. I was installing this for some friends who are also pleased with it. One reason it is easy to use is because the remote is arranged very simply.

The weak points of the DT502
The remote that comes with this unit is it's weakest link. I have four of these and only one remote remained working after a year of moderate use. I recommend one replace the DT502 remote with a programble remote and put the original remote aside. After several years of use one day the DT502 suddenly lost it's audio. The solution I found was to do a factory reset, and volia the sound returns.

great unit
unit looked brand new. I have also found that it works much better than the 250a models by retaining memory in unit, without having to reboot programs if unit loses power for any reason.

One of the best over the air tv converters.
IF you have an older tv thats not a smart tv, and your cable co. for some reason stops cable transmission ,you'll wished you had put an antenna on your roof of your house and bought (this over the air telivison cable box,) In some states you will receive about 68 free channels, and with better clarity picture wise. this APEX converts box is easy to set up and operate. and over the air tv broad casts have always been FREE. 👍

It is compact, nice looking, but best of all it works! I have 36 crisp clear channels, for free!

A Very Satisfied Customer
It's a great product,gets more channels than some other boxes I've had.Even with snow on my outdoor tv antenna I still got 15 channels clear,

Works as it should
Received product as advertised in an unopened box. I hooked it up and it worked correctly. We also received it in a timely manner.

Not User a User Friendly TV Converter
On screen text for program guides was too tiny to be read at comfortable distance. Buttons on remote were too close together and hard to find. Would not recommend this model for older folk or anyone with some vision limitations. Unit received was also defective in that some of its functions were not operable.
