Presents much different perspectives and new information, not normally given in our history books, etc..
Watched on TV, Very educational, and wanted it for my library. But I haven't watched this copy dvd yet. Excellent content and presentation!

Difficult topic handled well!
Other than minimizing the role of carpetbaggers, very complete examination of why reconstruction failed. Also, the difficult task of distinguishing southern pride from simple pro-slavery is only partially accomplished. Overall, however, this is a great educational tool.
