Picking up where NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD left off, and still offering no explanation of why the dead are walking the earth, DAWN OF THE DEAD plunges headlong into one of the most violent and original horror films ever made. After securing an apartment building overcome with flesh-eating zombies, two Philadelphia area SWAT team members, Peter (Ken Foree) and Roger (Scott Reiniger), flee to a television station, where they escape in the station's helicopter with Francine (Gaylen Ross) and Stephen (David Emge), two station employees. Seeking refuge from the zombies and the ensuing hysteria, they land on top of a Pittsburgh area shopping mall, despite the fact that the undead seem to be flocking there. What begins as a stop for supplies becomes a longer stay as the four become embroiled in a futile war within the mall to keep their flesh to themselves and remain alive. The film's relentlessly disturbing and innovative gore effects are one reason to see DAWN OF THE DEAD, but those who can stomach the endless barrage of blood and gnarled zombie faces will be rewarded--and possibly surprised--by what the film says about human nature and life within a consumer-based culture. Any aficionado of horror is likely to place the film high on their list of revered cinema.

    The item arrived in the box shown in the picture. It was in new condition as stated. The shipment was late by one day. I received an update that it was going to be late on the same day it was supposed to be delivered. I appreciate the notice but it would have been nicer to know sooner that it was going to be late.

    Dawn of the Dead Ultimate Edition (2004) Review

    Great quality purchase. The 2004 Ultimate Edition is extremely rare to find enough as it is, especially at a fair price and in good condition. Overall the movies themselves are fantastic. With each of the three versions of the films and their own unique take, it’s safe to say that whomever purchases the Ultimate Edition you will be thoroughly satisfied. Special features that are included on the set are over all interesting. The set comes with a fourth disc that goes in depth with the making of the film, interviews with cast and crew, and a tour of the mall where the movie takes place. Other features that are included on the three main disc are Audio Commentaries, Production Stills, Original Trailers, Biographies on the late George A. Romero and Dario Argento, and much more.     Awesome retro horror!

    Best deluxe edition ever! Four discs containing the theatrical version, extended version, European version, and documentaries. Compare to the U.S version, the European version plays different music scores. It also came with a comic and index. If your someone like me looking to see uncut extended scenes and more than just the theatrical movie, this is the one. GET THE DELUXE EDITION!

    Great Value

    I had this box set years ago and sold it because I needed some quick cash. I had been looking for it over the last couple years and saw it here. It is a great box set....it also helps that Dawn of the Dead is a favorite movie. I’m glad I own it again.

    My favorite zombie movie of all time!

    This is an awesome collection of the movie in different formats. It also features extras and interviews and behind the scenes details. I love it!!! Perfect for anyone who treasures this movie and loves George Romero!

    My fave George Romaro movie!

    Saw it 1st in a drive in 1979 Oakland CA. Excellent character driven film. Tom Savini special effects ahead of his time. The 3 versions in this set are special in their own way.
