    Each character had purpose

    While I do appreciate and love musicals, I am not familiar with any Beatles tunes. There were parts that tripped me up but I could see how it fit into the story and the time in which it takes place. I did love Jim Sturgess' role and feel that without him I would have wanted to see it again. It is well written and silly, each character had a purpose.

    Re-living my youth!

    What a wonderful film. I lived these years as a young man. The craftsmanship to put together the excellent choice of cast, moments in time, terrific musical renditions of the Beatles incredible music make this a 'document of the times.' I absolutely love this film. Beautifully filmed scenes capture both my eyes and my heart! A must see for every 'baby boomer' wishing to share the gist of our world in our youth.

    Worst movie I've seen in a long time!

    The entire movie is a sad rehash of the events of the 60's. Hollywood is clearly mentally bankrupt in terms of ideas. I'd rate this as less than zero if possible. Watching this was painful. My family buys 5 DVD's a week so naturally we see the good and the bad and everything in-between. I've seen school musicals done buy students that were far better than this. What a waste of time and money! Avoid at all cost, trust me!

    A feast for the senses.

    Such a great film. The music and cinematography arenjust stunning and really enhance the experience of the modern musical. Story is superb and the use of the lyrics to carry it along is just brilliant.

    Beautifully done!

    I love this movie.. Brilliantly depicts the late 60's better than any other movie. Love the renditions of the 30+ Beatles tunes, neither carbon copies of the originals yet all very recognizable. The lyrics to the songs become dialogue in the movie. Perfect!!! This is the enhanced version with over 2 hours of special features, almsot as entertaining as the movie itself!
