Entertaining detective series. light and fun.

Great characters, good fun entertainment
I'd forgotten how entertaining the Hamish Macbeth series were on TV many years ago, so had a pleasant surprise when I viewed the DVD set. The characters are well developed, many of whom are very wacky, but manage to remain convincing. With all respect to the author of the books, the TV series was far superior.
