They are laser cut which means they eliminate the chances of scratches, this process doesnt leave edges rough but much smoother. This is the first time we've came across this issue, so we thoroughly check and with the best we found all towels were fine, so I'm guessing it may have been a one off. Albeit I am eager to offer you a replacement as you should have the right towels at hand. Thanks for your time
