    Captivating story of two girls adventure and lives moving into a house near a forest

    I'm in my fifties, an American. I found the book a cute and FUN read! I fell in love with Totoro without knowing the background story1 I just love his personality & smile(so far) I really like the descriptions of Totoro size/form. And, now I know that there are little/small ones= In blue and gray! I really like the interactions/conversations of all the characters. I highly recommend this story. The description of the forest make it an adventuresome place of beautiful and mystery, but make it obvious that it can be a scary place. I found the characters very believeable and real.
