    God's ways are not our ways, nor are our thoughts his thoughts. Our sanity is humbled by God's. The power and simplicity of the gospel are presented through compelling stories of unyielding persistence in the face of heart wrenching scenarios of persecution. The cruelty of wickedness is no match for the power of God's overwhelming love. This is not about casual wimpy faith as so many of us encounter, but is about hearts enslaved by the love of God and supernatural perseverance, and deliverance. It is uncomfortably real and very powerful. Read it and be blessed. I bought extra copies to share.

    A must read for the aspiring missionary

    This book is the best book I have read on the subject of personal experience and testimony of the work of God in present day. The book starts with a vivid and compelling testimony of a boy's personal experience with the living God and the way He works on a personal level in today's world. He transitions to his family's personal account of a fledgling attempt at missionary work in a hostile environment and how that ground-zero startup morphed into a powerful and effective catalyst that forced the world to take notice of a conflict raging in that part of the world. He then describes his experiences in a personal journey of inquiry into the questions that each of us who are serious christians face in our own lives regarding struggle, trial, persecution, triumph, and heartfelt worship in a ...

    Stories you won't forget.

    The last half of the book where the author goes to areas with persecuted people was like reading the New Testament. It was full of incredible works of God and faithful believers who valued knowing God.

    Christians in the persecuted world.

    One of the most interesting books I have read in a long time. Don’t give up during the first 135 pages when the main characters are not successful. The rest of the book is filled with examples of miracles taking place in the persecuted world.
