May not have been necessary with this product, but would have been appreciated. Condition/Quality: Better than expected. Sample images of lot showed units with significant wear, but product arrived with minimal scuffing and no scratching of the soft "suede" surface. Keys were pristine Value: Good. Functional units can be found for cheaper, but not with this minimal wear.

Downside, minor unless you do it repeatedly: Fn (function) key moved to left of spacebar, so adjust Brightness [on my Pro-3] needs 2 hands [Fn-Del, Fn-bkspace]

Don't believe the first picture of the seller. The following pictures are the real ones. There is a certain difference in the texture of the 3rd to 7th generation keyboards. Although they are universal in principle, if you want a pro7 keyboard, then this may disappoint you.

It would have been perfect quality had it been packaged properly. The seller does not accept returns but when we reached out showing the packaging and subsequent damage they were willing to accept a return, which spoke a lot to the integrity of their business. We decided to keep it and take it to get fixed locally. Overall still a great experience with the buyer!

The box was destroyed because it was mostly empty. I told the delivery driver it was all right and just an old keyboard, and probably all right. But additional packing material would have been a good idea. By the way, the upgrade was preloaded on the laptop as described by the seller; all I had to do was wait for everything to be downloaded and added to the computer. The packaging was perfect as the laptop turned on the first time, I pressed the on button. The seller tossed in the power supply. I rate this seller/transaction A+++++!!
