It is through this feral but redemptive folklore that Poppy begins to understand the story of his own past and his place in the present. Tatterdemalion is a stunning collaboration between writer Sylvia V. Linsteadt and artist Rima Staines, featuring the fourteen original paintings that inspired the narrative., Sylvia Linsteadt is a writer, artist, and certified animal tracker based in California. Her short fiction has been published in New California Writing and Dark Mountain among others, and from 2013 to 2016 she ran Wild Talewort, sending re-wilded tellings of myths and folktales to hundreds of subscribers around the world. She will be available for events around publication. Contains fourteen integrated full-colour reproductions of the paintings by Rima Staines that inspired the novel.
