    Intriguing, but light WW 2 spy movie.

    So great to have a good dvd of one of our favorites. We had a copy dvd of this movie, transferred from VHS. Horrible copy, the sound was really bad. So good to have a copy with good picture and sound! Very Happy!

    My Favorite WWII Story

    Shining through combines history, pathos, intrigue and an incredible love story to form a compelling WWII movie. It is truly spellbinding. I have watched it 5 times and will do so again. Don't miss this incredible movie.

    It takes Heart to fight a War

    The story is engaging, yes, but Melanie Griffith and Michael Douglas bring a chemistry to the screen that makes the movie as good as it is. The most memorable scene for me, which takes place in the USO club in the first half of the film, is the reason I bought the movie. Melanie Griffith owns every scene she is in. She has the lead role in this movie, with Michael a close, supportive second.

    Shining Through DVD

    I saw this movie years ago; it's a great movie - has love, drama, espionage WW2 period movie with great acting from Melanie Griffith & Michael Douglas, and a good ending; quality of the DVD is very good - clear color and audio, and english subtitles.
