    The book is charming -- and new condition as shown. This is a hard to find item, so glad to find it new here for a reasonable price! It arrived quickly, but was packed in a mailing envelope -- and even though it was padded, one of corner was crushed, which was disappointing as this is to be a gift. Overall postive, nonetheless.

    Great starter books

    My mother started me on the Dick and Jane books at age 3 and I was reading before I started kindergarten. I have a set of triplets that have been struggling with reading since kindergarten and they are 2nd graders, so I went back to the basics. I ordered the first 2 series and by the end of the day they had read all 12 books. I actually had 2 make them go to bed. Now that their confidence is where it should be they want to read all the time and are doing much better in school. The books are very old school and the graphics are less of a distraction as well. Starting my 3 yr old on them now. We love Dick and Jane!

    Dick and Jane Reader Serie s Level 1 Collection 1-6 Ages 3-5

    Anything with Dick and Jane is a good reading tool. Words are big enough to understand.I had them when I was growing up. Pictures are vintage. I got these for my granddaughter but she said she can't be bothered, but there isn't any excuse for a nine year old not to read. Every thing is minecraft and ark, not'llreading. In her grade if she can t read, she will be staying back in that same grade.

    Back in the day

    I remember learning to read with these Dick and Jane books. They worked then and they work now. My granddaughter is reading the series 1. Repetition of sight words is great. Big easy to read print is good. Young reader fills a sense of accomplishment. Hopefully I will be able to find the next series.

    Dick and Jane Series

    Brought back lots of memories. My granddaughter is in kindergarten and these are perfect to help her start reading.

    Classic drawings, age-appropriate stories

    Got this series for our 7-yr-old grandson, and he really liked the idea his grandparents had read the same books when they were little. He enjoyed the drawings and found the stories a bit trivial, but he felt good about his ability to read them on his own.
