    So seller advertises with remote. Seller ships with no remote. Seems like a small problem we'll replacement remote cost 10.00 dollars. Advertise says used with remote condition of receiver is good. But the fact that they say it comes with remote and ships it without. Seller says they where out of stock of the remote and they didn't update advertise. Sellers only fix is to have me return it. I would of been happy with 5.00 refund. I won't order from this seller again

    Nice and smooth operation - Steel will last longer than plastic versions.

    Nice and smooth winding action. I like this product after loosing my old plastic wall mount hose real to UV exposure and aging plastic I knew that I wanted a steel version so I would not have to buy another one again. If I could have two optional items I would have paid for them. 1) a hose guide to help keep my hands clean when realing in and directing the hose to spool up nicely. 2) color options I would have liked a gray version and

    Pretty darn good

    Like other reviews stated, you will have to disassemble it and take out the massive amount of Teflon tape. Only takes a couple minutes, but this has to be done. There was an incredible amount of tape and it wasn't even on the threads, it was shoved down in the pipes! This is quick and easy, only needed 2 adjustable wrenches, reapply the tape correctly and mount it to something solid. After that, I love this thing. Much, much better than any of the plastic ones I've had!

    An excellent reel, not available currently in the UK, but expensive after paying carriage and duty.

    The reel is well made and has a large capacity. The plastic reels are very stiff by comparison and have less capacity. Bought it from the US as the same reel offered by UK suppliers is always out of stock, but it works out at double the price. Unfortunately the connector for the hose is a US thread and won't take UK hose connectors. If you remove it and fit a 1" x 3/4" brass adaptor (available on-line) it works fine.

    REELY GOOD

    I have been unable to find a good hose reel in the UK. The ones that look a bit like this (of which I have 2) are flimsy and rust quickly. Most are plastic and bright green. This is great. Solid, well-made, looks good and works well. I only say the value is not great because it has to come from the US and does cost quite a bit. BUT it is worth it. I have two now (one for about two years) and am very pleased. Quick delivery, no taxes. So yes, I am impressed. But why can't the UK import these things properly ?!!

    OK if!

    If you are mechanical, have tools and can fix/improve the piping aligning etc. it's works good. Spent about an hour fixing it. Had to bend the two wings in so they would be tight up against the ends of the drum. Put a large washer on the axle between the drum and flange holding it. Lubed the o rings with a special grease. Drill small hold in the bottom of the bell shaped hole that holds the drum to use a pointed grease gun to lube the axles since it has no real bearings just metal on metal. The supply hose very cheap lightweight, don't expect it to last long.
