    A used CD was purchased and shipped on 4-14 and delivered by USPS Media Mail on 4-17. Item received was like new as described in the listing and was professionally packaged for shipping. Case was sealed in a plastic sleeve and shipped in a cardboard box for protection. Disc, booklet, and case were like new, a very cared for item. The condition of CD received, the care in packing, reasonable price, and fast shipping and delivery made for an excellent purchasing experience with Lake Country Books.

    This is a great popcorn movie

    This movie takes place in the late 1930's it is full of really cool cars and airplanes like the Gee Bee, Timothy Dalton plays a swashbuckling actor (like Erroll Flynn) who is a Nazi spy wanting to get his hands on a rocket pack that Howard Hughes developed. Cool cars, airplanes, Nazis bad guys fun fun fun

    Rocketing in from the DVD stoneage

    Great movie. Bad DVD. Unfortunately this version is from the early days of DVD, when black bars were hard-coded into a 4:3 picture. This is NOT native widescreen, and creates a picture quality so low, when you are forced to zoom the picture, that VHS would be a more preferable option. It might look good on a late-90s CRT TV. If you're watching on an HDTV, get the BluRay. It's not a preference, in this case, it's a necessity.

    THE ROCKETEER IS A REMINDER OF THE SATURDAY MATINEE MOVIES YOU SAW AS A KID. WITH BAD GUYS AND HEROS WHO SAVE THE BEAUTIFUL GIRL. IT'S JUST NON-STOP ACTION WHEN A STOLEN JET PACK IS FOUND AND THE BAD GUYS TRY TO GET IT BACK . BILL CAMPBILL STARS AS CLIFF ALONG WITH HIS FRIEND PLAYED BY ALAN ARKIN , LEARN HOW TO USE THE JET PACK. AND JENNIFER CONNELLY PLAYS HIS GIRLFRIEND.TIMOTHY DALTON PLAYS THE HOLLYWOOD STAR WHO'S GOT HIS OWN REASONS FOR WANTING THE JET PACK. IF YOU SEEK GREAT ENTERTAINMENT SEE THE ROCKETEER.

    Great Movie that has stood the test of time!

    The Rocketeer is a great old movie! Jennifer Cambell in one of her first movies, she Maverick's love interest in Top Gun! Lot's of excitement and action!

    Fully widescreen, but no features

    I've read many reviews saying this DVD is poor quality or 4:3 aspect ratio with black bars at the top and bottom; not this one. The resolution is actually pretty good and it's really widescreen. I've always loved this movie. It's fun and has character, before movies became 90% CGI and explosions. There is that here, but not so much you lose the people and the story.
