    Harriet is an old friend

    I have read this book literally over 100 times and still get something out of it, even as old as I am now. The book isn't necessarily for everyone (like her second book definitely is not), but it is truly my favorite book of all time. I read my way through five or six copies and I'm not one who treats books shabbily. They just started falling apart from all the reading. I'm glad the original pictures are back in the book (the new one is just wrong). If you've seen the movie, you absolutely MUST read the book, as you will have greater insight into Harriet and her world (and Ole Golly looks NOTHING like Rosie O'Donnell).

    Harriet the Spy: Still a Fun Read Decades Later!

    My sister and I read this 50 years ago, and we still enjoy it. The book looked virtually unread, so I was very pleased.
