    If affordability not an issue!

    I bought this product after I bought one the was a fraction of the price thinking that this will work, well it is kind of okay because this one does not charge the phone but plays the audio, the cheaper one that l bought whereas didn't work at all. Hence my title of the review, l know for a fact that it is more expensive to buy the original but if you can afford, you go for it, like the saying goes " you get what you pay for " or better still you buy cheap you will buy twice". Lest I forget, the length of the pin into the phone is very short, compared to the original one, so you can not use it with the phone case on . My advice is if you have the means please go for the original version or you charge your phone separately if you go for this one. Thanks

    Compact and easy to use

    I bought these as I had at least 5 leads that were useless so instead of purchasing a new lead from Apple that simply does not last as long as it should due to poor design, I decided to buy these adaptors thus enabling me to use my older and better designed leads, yes there are many offers out there, selling "genuine" Apple leads or so they say, they get hot or they don't work or best is that Apple iPod,iPad,iPhone states that the lead is not genuine Apple, then stops working. So for peace of mind I started to look for genuine lightning to 30 pin adaptor and I found a company offering genuine Apple adapter for sale, he asked for offers, I did and now own 2 adaptors, they work fine.

    Lightweight and easy to use.

    A very good apple product which keeps your old Apple devices up to date with the new apple phones and technology. Simple plug and play scenario. I use it in the van via a USB lead to listen to the old iPod device. A pity Apple dose not have them any more, now classed as old obsolete items. Great product

    Want to use iPhone 6 to play music on old docking station?

    This product or similar is only option if you want to output music from iPhone 6 or above to old style dock with genuine Apple Music and sound. I've tried the cheap alternatives but they really don't output sound from the cable connection port. A genuine Aplple product is needed and although I purchased this at relatively cheap price compared to some places, it is still stupidly expensive for what it is. I need this to connect my phone using Pure i10 dock to my Yamaha hi-fi as the dock has the old style connector. It's a godsend as the Pure dock amplifies the phone signal and gives good quality found to real hi-fi. But come on Apple your taking the mickey here on price and it's not as if you need the money.

    Good product but bad design!

    It's a handy item to have in order to stil be able to use devices bought to work with the iPhone 4 that are still perfectly good but don't work with the iPhone 5, however, it's a stupid and very irritating design flaw that it can't be used with the phone in its case. I imagine very few people use an iPhone without a case as it's fairly fragile, but you have to remove the case to be able to use the adaptor! It was only good value because I got it second hand on eBay, otherwise it's far too expensive! What I really wanted was the one with the little cable bit that you can use with a case but they're even sillier money, new, and I haven't found a second hand one of eBay yet so this is handy enough in the meantime.
