Impressive marriage of traditional and modern elements!
As so many have already stated, this watch is a great example of the quality timepieces that Seiko has produced for so many decades. Quality is a function of technology combined with durability, and this watch exemplifies that-- it can be felt upon direct examination with the smoothness of operation and the robustness of the construction and materials. This watch is a very traditional watch in the sense that it includes numerous styling cues from the best of Seiko's past watches. In spite of this, it also becomes obvious that some more modern elements were incorporated, including a slight increase in overall size. Don't let the 38mm size turn you away-- it has the perfect degree of presence for its purpose in the wrist of the average size man! The perfect combination of curves, brushed ... As so many have already stated, this watch is a great example of the quality timepieces that Seiko has produced for so many decades. Finally, the dial complements the case very nicely with a simple elegance, radiance, appropriate level of detail, and hands that reach all the way to the graduations on the chapter ring as they should. The lume is also appropriate and functional without taking away from the stylish appearance. As so many others have stated, I agree that anyone eyeing this watch already will not be disappointed upon purchasing it. It goes without saying, that this watch is an excellent value. Its attributes suggest a watch of a much higher price. My SARB035 has been gaining 2 seconds overnight and losing 2 seconds while wearing it daily for a week now. I don't think you could ask for anything better!

Solid value for the money
Let me begin by saying that I have become very disappointed with Seiko for the lack of quality and reliability that their under-$200 mechanical watches display. I was persuaded by the reputation of quality that Seiko has established to purchase self-winding Seiko watches not once, not twice, but three times, each time spending $150 or so for a traditionally styled steel watch. Each one of them failed, and not one of them was accurate within a minute per day. I was SURE that I had received lemons the first and second times but finally realized that Seiko’s cheaper watches are junk. After reading hundreds of watch reviews, including at least twenty popular brands, I finally decided that my mistake was buying a lower tier watch and needed to move up a little to a more robust movement. I settled on a Seiko with a 6R15 movement. I already own a Rolex Datejust watch, but wanted a cheaper, but tough and reliable watch for everyday use. I considered a Seiko Spring Drive watch, and if I didn’t already have a Rolex, I probably would have bought one of them. But the 6R15 movement seems to be a really good quality/price balance. It’s a hacking movement so it’s easy to keep it within a few seconds of the true time, and I am seeing accuracy within +2/-3 seconds per day after settling in for several weeks. I’m perfectly fine with that performance in an automatic watch for under $400. Not a fan of battery- or solar-powered watches (and I use tubes in my audio systems), and this watch, I believe, offers great bang for the buck.

Looks like watches in more expensive price brackets.
This is an amazing watch! It fits my small wrist perfectly and it is light on the arms. It looks very dressy but somehow works also with more casual outfits. The finish makes it look more expensive than its price. It is also very accurate, my measurements over the last 3 weeks indicates that it lags by less than 3 sec per day. I replaced the bracelet with a burgundy colored Hirsh strap and it looks even more elegant. I think I will enjoy swapping different leather straps with it. An important note to buyers from the Philippines: The original post states door to door delivery by EMS. However, EMS cannot do door to door for any item worth more than $190. Seiko sarb035 review
Hi, I'm George and I would like to say this watch is a great deal. It has a great automatic movement the 6r15c. It has a sapphire crystal on the front and a wonderful dial. The case work is a work of art, the bracelet is better than it's lower end models. Wonderful 50+ power reserve and excellent lume for a dresser watch and good water resistance. A watch of this quality even from Seiko can cost a lot more money! I own mid and high end watches and by far I'm impressed with the quality, fit and craftsmanship. I would strongly recommend this watch for a guy who loves watches and quality. I can't say enough about this watch and they have a model the sarb033 which is a black dial version of this watch so plenty of options. Perfect for any occasion from casual to formal, and matches with any attire with its gorgeous creme face and silver bracelet. Authentic and made for Japanese Domestic Market, the Seiko SARB035 is comparable in looks to the Grand Seiko Spring Drive Snowflake, which is one of the most innovative and accurate mechanical watches you can find. Absolutely love it. This is one of those items that I will look to take very good care of and pass down to the next generation.The Seiko SARB035 is incredibly difficult to acquire now that it is discontinued.
