    Bought as a replacement

    Replacing the one my mom gave my then girlfriend (now wife) 35 years ago. The old paperback version is now in 5 pieces and she refused to throw it away. Wife hopes to pass this one on to a grand child. Heavy color pages in a binder. Plenty of photos. Over 1300 recipes. Great general knowledge information throughout. Great starter cookbook. Highly recommended! Brought one for our future daughter-in-law also.

    Visually beautiful

    Love this book. I have an older version and have used it happily, for years. Will give this one to my daughter for Christmas. The binder allows it to lay flat which is very handy. Pictures are beautiful and the sections are well organized with tabs. Lots of tips and "how-to" paragraphs that are great for learning. Kind of wish this cook book was going to be mine!!

    Great cookbook

    I think this is the very best beginner cookbook. Don’t love the binding and find pages come loose after a couple of years, but I think that’s a small complaint. Over the years, I’ve given copies to all my children and grandchildren.
