Product Was Desinged Without Throughout Thinking
This kind of hardwire kit connects through a fuse tap to vehicle's power supply. Almost all of fuse taps on the market have 4mm F-type connectors installed. However, this hardwire kit installed a 6.3mm M-type connector. In order to have a straightforward connection, user must have to remove either connector and to re-install a compatible one. On the other hand, this hardwire kit does supply a cut-through connector, which would violently cut-through the fuse tap wire. In the environment of a moving vehicle, this might cause possible short-circuit.

Uniden R3 Hardwire Kit
Exactly as it is. Perfect and good quality. Comes with wires long enough to run through the headliners of your vehicle. Mute button also works just as described. I would recommend to anyone who wants to hardwire and the convenience of the mute button. Thank yoh

good kit but could use some work
pro its easy to install But the two sided tape used to hold mute button on has a tendency to hold it for glue to melt and come apart should be a better way to hold it on like small screw or other mechanical fastner like a clip

Excellent Hard wire kit.
Power cord works well and there is plenty of cord to reach even larger cars or trucks. Easy to install and wiring is good quality.

Good for the price
Kind of ugly square shape with dim lights but ok overall and good for the price on a hardwire that has them.

OK, but feels cheap.
It's OK, but it feels and looks cheap. Uniden should up there game with better buttons, led's and case. Also it's a little to long and I had to modify it some.
