Highlights of THE PROMISE include the extraordinary rock version of "Racing in the Street," the never-before-released original recordings of "Because the Night," and "Fire", the supreme pop opus "Someday (We'll Be Together)," the hilarious "Ain't Good Enough for You," the superb soul-based vocal performance on "The Brokenhearted," the utterly haunting "Breakaway", and the fully orchestrated masterpiece and title song "The Promise".

    Overall positive experience with this seller! The conition of the DVDs was as described and they arrived faster than I expected. There was one promblem with a missing disc; I contacted the seller immediately and they kindly issued me a small refund to cover the missing disc, which I was very grateful for. Overall I'm happy with my purchase! I mean truthfully, I would have prefered the disc to the refund, but it already felt like a steal, so I wasn't too worried about it.

    The books arrived two days earlier than expected. While the packing materials included were kind of sparse, there was no overall damage to the books from transit. The items were exactly as described, or in "very good" condition. The only imperfections were labels on the back of each book (which will take a little time to peel off carefully). However, seeing as I got all three books at about two-thirds the cost (of full retail price) AND free shipping, I'd say I got a great deal. Thanks a bunch!

    An average 2 disc set from a far from average artist. Only for fanatics.

    Darkness On The Edge Of Town is one of my fave Bruce albums so I bought this 2 disc set with high expectations. After 2 listens all I can say about the Promise is that it is an ok release. There's a reason these songs weren't included on Darkness. For my taste there are too many slow songs and not near enough rockers.

    Everything was OK, one of the disc would...

    Everything was OK, one of the disc would not play on my player ( # 2) , but I was able to rip it for my collection of Springsteen. so that is why it is OK.I needed the # 1 disc to complete the CD.I lost it somehow.

    Bruce Springsteen- the promise

    I have only listened to it once, so I'm not familiar with the songs yet to know if I like it or not. The great thing about e bay purchases, the CDs are so affordable you can take a chance on a CD you otherwise might not buy.
