The original western account of eastern pugilism
I read this book long ago, at an age where much of what Mr. Smith discussed in this book went over my head. At this point in my life, I am familiar with most of the names and all of the practices he brings up in this account. This is a true introduction to Chinese martial arts from a novelists perspective. Mr. Smith gained an education in classical pugilism from a host of great masters from a generation ago, that you cannot buy these days, including master Han-Ching Tan, who was Dr. Yang Jwing Ming's Longfist master, if I am not mistaken.
