Former UR28M and Motu 828 and regular Focusrite 18i20 user
First I thought it was all marketing and hype. I looked at the specs and they said it has 9 dbu more dynamic range and 10% less THD then the other model described up top. I pluged it in....downloaded the driver, updated the firmware as asked.... Reboot.... It took about 5 minute after my reboot before the iD14 started working . I've put up Itzhak Perlman - Vivaldi four season as I'm use to hear it on all other audio interface and system I had. WAOW !!! The definition.... It feels like someone removed the pillow that was on top of the music all that time. I can hear detail in the background i've never heard before.... Chair squeaking, Violon bow sound real..... It feel like I have 1 more unit of perceived volume in the headroom and 1 more unit in the depth of the sound. Low frequencies sound very detailed and the transient seem perfectly defined. It doesnt sound wobby like before. I'm not sure if its the recording or the audio interface but the 1k to 5k seem just a tiny bit over done. Based on the date of the recording, i'd say its the gear used at the time. Or maybe its just that pillow effect that disapeared and I'm not use to hear those freq so clearly. I'm amazed. Awesome interface with few flaws
The sound is really great and the converters are great. I'm missing an off/on button and & midi i/o. Also - the latency (at least on windows) is just ok, as soon as you drop from 128 buffer size it start crackling. If you don't mind the lack of midi i/o and you don't need a super low latency - For the price - i would def recommend itBestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
