    My order arrived yesterday and I got no tracking from Amazon and found out today there was one delivered to package room— Amazon didn’t do well on this one . The package itself was in good condition and it was well packaged and did arrive within the projected timeframe.     The package arrived quickly only taking 2 days to arrive. HOWEVER, this is not the product I paid for. I was looking to get the silver metallic finish as was pictured on the ad: but instead received a matte grey painted version. The entire reason I paid the higher price for this item was for the color. This is a huge disappointment. Avoid.

    Plain as an old tin pan

    Poor Hilary - how many of us have walked in her shoes ? She has land, a clean house, money of her own, a horse named Dorothy, yet she is described by potential suitors as being bossy and plain as an old tin pan ( or bucket, I forgot now ). She is a force to be reckoned with as she takes on a job that the spineless men in her town won't touch with a ten foot pole and forget about the other women helping her. Her desperation to marry mixed with her determination to bring those 3 lost souls back home is heart wrenching. Yes it is bleak, and not full of any special effects, but it does not need any, it is a story of desperation and determination and works just fine as it is. A++++++++

    Very well-done but very sad.

    This is a must-see if you are interested in how women were affected by the hardships of pioneer life. Yet it would be difficult to watch this film more than once. It is very sad. It is fascinating, although I'm not sure "entertaining" is the right word to describe a film in which women get raped, become hopelessly insane, and commit murder or suicide. If you are a woman who is depressed because your husband is abusive, or because you have been rejected by every man you meet, I would advise you to skip this film.

    awe inspiring

    i watched this movie a few days ago and it still is haunting me. it made me feel for these poor unfortunate women and wonder if this could have been real. this movie is about 3 women on the lonely prairie going feeble minded, and what it takes to get them back to the east coast. great acting by tommy lee jones and hilary swank!

    True to the Midwestern eria

    When boys were men and men were boys and girls became women way to fast. And neither had any choice because of the hard times they lived, in a area most of us knew nothing about. IT takes you on a non stop, un-inspected turns, and hardships and unbearable tragedy of this time .That's not really that long ago. Which possibly may give some insight on just how far we have come today with growth. ( R).Nuded ,Language, But worth it for the Entertainment ,educational..point of veiw.

    The Homesman..

    Hands down,, one of the best performances of Tommy Lee Jones and Hillary Swank that I've seen..!! The storyline, hardships, and way things were endured during the trip,, well,, you just gotta watch the movie to see and believe it for yourself..!! I a word,,, "Awesome"..!!
