Much better than using children's markers to color in illustrations.
I am working on the illustrations for a children's book. I first bought a set of grays (in my local craft store) to color an animal character. I liked them so well, I went back to get a full color set. It turns out that this store considered $80 to be a SALE price for the set of 48. I was very happy to find them on Ebay at a much lower price. They color in large areas without be streaky. There are a number of colors that are very pale, like watered-down watercolor. There are also very intense colors, and in-between colors. Although there is a color chart on the back of the package, it helped to make to make my own larger chart with all reds grouped together, all blues grouped together, etc. There is only one problem with the alcohol base. I have done my drawings with fine permanent markers. The alcohol can smear the Sharpie lines if you are not careful. If a character has words on his shirt, it is better to color first and then write the words.
