Fascinating book
Compiled and lightly edited from the original notepads of a former inhabitant of St. Kilda written in his later years. It occasionally gently questions some details written by other authors, and I believe that out of hundreds of books on the subject of St. Kilda and it's eventual evacuation, there are extremely few accounts from former residents. I found it very interesting.

5 star book on St kilda
My father was in the R.A.F. during his National Service and was posted to St Kilda for a while. In the book there are areas where he vividly remembers going to. He is finding the book very interesting and compelling. There aren't many tv programmes about St Kilda so if anyone is interested in this type of thing then this is the book to read and it deserves it's 5 star rating
