The ancient Chinese influenced all aspects of Japanese culture in almost very area from architecture to Zen. Chinese military strategy, particularly as reflected in the treatises known as the Seven Military Classics, was routinely followed by Samurai warlords and their generals throughout Japan's centuries of internal strife.
