50% copper, black streak but works
We have had an in ground dog fence for 9 years now on our 7 acres. Over the years I have purchased many different kinds and colors of copper replacement wire, This wire is not as copper colored as the others. It is diluted by about 50% with a silver metal of some kind. It also Has some sort of a black substance in a streak along the wire as if tarnished and I had the scrape that off with that sharp edges of the scissors. The quality and durability of the outside plastic coating is also questionable compared to the original Innotek brand that has been incredibly tough and lasted through years of weather and abuse in the areas above ground. Frankly, that’s everything. If it is easily nicked , the boundary fence stops working . To be fair, it’s working fine in the small section of flower bed I just installed it in yesterday. So connection is good, but it’s just not copper colored like all the others. I don’t know if that may effect the signal on a larger area.

It worked!
When I tried to use the wire that came with the product, it was about as thin as thread, broke easily, and tangled as soon as the package was opened. Using this wire made the job quick and easy. It is thin enough to to run along fencelines and strong enough for the job. A good product.

This is the same wire that you an find at Home Depot and Pet Smart but at a better price. It is a good quality wire for above or below ground for invisible fencing.

Easy to use.
I already had an in-ground fence but wanted to extend it. It was so easy to splice it onto the existing wire. Saved me a couple of hundred dollars doing it myself.

Good quality
This wire is great, I am replacing my old wire because of a few breaks I caused my self in error, and the same wire at Home Depot is almost 4 times the price for the same gauge, and quaility.

Misleading
I ordered 1000 feet of wire to use to create an underground dog fence. The wire pictured is green and I was sent yellow. I didn't know that the color of the coating indicates what's inside of the coating until after I worked to bury 500 ft of this wire. Completely wasted my time and money. As a single mom i don't have a whole lot of either!
