Super happy with the new model
Had the old version of the sub-compact Makita for 10-15 years. When the abuse was finally too much for it, opted for the newer model sub-compact. Great drill! Just as good (or better) than the earlier model, and is smaller. Wouldn’t exchange it for anything different.

The grip of the chuck on the drill bit m...
The grip of the chuck on the drill bit might be a little bit excessive. Other than that just a bit better than my last non BLDC Makita.
