    Really pleased with my dvd, it was dispatched straight away and has arrived in only a couple of days with free postage too. My dvd was just as described still in its protective wrapper and also delivered in a padded envelope so in perfect condition and appearance. Overall excellent value for money. I will certainly be looking at other items from this seller and recommend to other buyers.

    The item arrived on time. Well packaged and arrived undamaged. And as usual the Royal Mail tracking was useless. Item is as described, brand new region 1 dvd, at a decent price. Much cheaper than buying it preowned from the US. Will definitely use this seller again if appropriate item is available.

    U Boot fan

    Brilliant film anyway but the directors cut just put the shine on the film. Although we are all used to the history of the u boat conflict this film adds the human element to the war. From personal knowledge it is also a fact that as the war went on conscription became the norm....... It must have been "hellish"

    Vertually live on board a Nazis submarine.

    I'm hooked on Das Boot because of the series shown by SkyUK. This is a good watch but I'm incredibly biased as I'm such a fan of viewing Das Boot TV series. The Film or TV series.I have watched the TV series over&over I've almost virtually lived aboard a submarine.The Film is more documentary than the TV series so one can't compare.Personally I like drama but I'm not being disrespectful to the Film Directors Cut of Das Boot.

    You get what you pay for...

    The 'narrative' in 'Das Boot' is really secondary to the intense claustrophobia of the setting. This may not be a prticularly enticing recommendation but may be likened to the 'symphonic' amosphere created by say, Tarkovski's movies or even maybe to the anti-narratives of Peter Greenaway's extravagances, though again, the gritty-sweaty confines of Das Boot could hardly make a starker contrast. I suspect that anyone ordering this TV series is unlikely to be unfamiliar with its grim verité atmosphere.

    Excellent wartime drama.

    Brilliant series when on TV originally. Well worth a second look. Amazing soundtrack

    Brilliant film

    This was recommended on Twitter in response to the question "what is the best subtitled film you've ever seen?" Many of the replies included this German film about WW2. It probably has been one of the best WW2 we've ever seen.
