Interesting Movie
Boarding house for ladies in the south during the war. Acting is spot on, very well done. Movie plays on the closeted world of women during a conservative time/ war time. Introduce a man, a wounded soldier, and watch as efforts to be good people give way to desires and petty behaviors between the women. Things begin to unravel between the ladies in the strict household as the man behaves as a wolf in the hen house per say. Playing his situation to the fullest, he eventually finds himself in an ugly situation and the tensions rise dangerously high within the home. The scene becomes a hostage type situation and you cant help but wonder how it will all play out. A little slow but worth the watch if womens life style during that period interests you.
