Lightweight, but good value.
Everything works ok. All working parts are made of plastic-a bit flimsy, but with careful use it works just fine. anchoring system not good. After securing it to the house with angle brackets and screws made it very stable when reeling in hose. Don't know units costing twice as much are any beter, except maybe using some metal parts where wear ans stress is present.

Second one I purchased
The garden hose reel by Suncast is a simple but affective design. It's the second one I've purchased so that pretty much sums up how I feel about the product. The first one I bought was placed in a grass surface and the anchors held it down. The second one was placed on concrete and can't be anchored down. Because it is so light, it tends to move around a lot when reeling or unreeling the hose. Overall though, I recommend this reel.

NOT BAD FOR THE MONEY
Nice product but wish it had moveable wind up so the hose didn't reel up in one spot.

Looks great, but
This portable Wicker Hose Hideaway look great, but it's very light and needs to anchored, it would work great on grass where you can anchor it, but here I had to place it (on cement) I get a lot of movement, which I don't have a problem with this because it looks great, matchs the furniture.

Review
The quality is better than some others because this model has a hose guide. In case it's not obvious, you have to wind the hose tightly in a left to right pattern to fit the entirety of the length. I have another mode that does not have a hose guide and inevitably my hands get filled with dirt after I water the lawn.

Too lightweight.
Looks great but way too light. Very difficult to wind a hose in and out. The unit is very light versus a hose. It does have 2 spikes to reel dig into the lawn/garden earth, but they come out too easily. Don't even think of using it on concrete.

Excellent storage!
Just what I was looking for! I initially had a circular, plastic hose reel that broke. It was visually unattractive and was difficult to reel in. This box is attractive and high quality. It is plastic and the parts are plastic, but it seemed sturdy and held the 175 feet of hose well. I like that it is easy to open and close and sits lower to the ground than the taller hose reels and hose reels that I looked at online. It could easily blend in with some bushes or tall flowers. The guide helps the hose come in straight and lay straight and organized on the spool. I've seen other products, but this buy far looked and operated the best from what I looked at. The price was very reasonable!

Best hose box ever.
Where we lived a year ago they had a lawn service. So I guess you know they ran over my hose and into my first box. I told them they were to replace both but by the time we were ready to move, 3 months later, no replacement was to be found. So after we retired, I bought my second one. Now it's in our own yard and no one will run over it. Truly a terrific hose box for my 75 ft. hose. Love it. Sometimes hard to get the hose started on the reel but once it gets some weight on it, it works perfectly. Thanks for a great product.

NOT UP TO SNUFF
I think Suncast hurts its reputation with the product. It is cheaply made. Other Suncast units I have double as seats but this one is too flimsy. The winder is manually controlled and less than effective. I've had to take special actions to stabilize the item because the included stabilizing system is for the back only and not large enough to do the job. I'm disappointed.

Nice But.
This unit is very nice but the guide with handle for the hose does not work that well. If you have a heavy rubber hose like I do you need 1 hand to hold the reel box from moving and 1 hand to keep the hose taught as you wind and you can not also slide the hose guide as you rewind otherwise it is really nice unit.
