We saw this book at the Livraria Lello & Irmão book shop in Porto (google it or even better go and visit) but travelling light we didn't want to carry the weight around. I'd almost forgotten about it until I chanced upon it here at a snip of a price, I couldn't not buy it. It's a real visual treat covering a wide range of images over a wide range of time, through the twenties to a few years ago. Patrick Mauries is a writer who has covered many areas within fashion and design so has selected the 120 images with a good eye for the striking, the accompanying text is interesting and informative. Probably more a coffee table book than a reference title but people will pick it up and look.
