    I just received the 2-TUVL bulbs today, I opened them to make sure that they were the right ones and that they wasn't broken. I did notice that both of the lights have an internal band that is to wrap around close to the end of the inner bulb to keep it from rattling when the blower kicks in and or to keep it from breaking. I called my HVAC service person and he said that they had it happen one time and the customer complained about the rattle and he had to replace it within 6 months.

    Excellent Value

    Inexpensive, but quality replacement uv bulb. Just unplug old bulb, remove 2 screws, pull out old bulb, insert new bulb, install 2 screws, plug in new bulb with old wire and you are done. Very easy and beats the over $100 the a/c company would charge for this job. I highly recommend this product.

    installed and working fine

    I just installed it, the company helped me with some installation issues and it is working well. had to modify little bit my original connector plug to fit the bulb. Let see if it holds up for 2 years. :-)

    UV Blue Light Fits right and Works Nicely

    Identical dimensions as the original, looks the same, fired right up when connected and powered up, working. But for how long? unknown. Hopefully I'll get over 3 years as I did with the 2 yr bulb from FreshAir. Time will tell, wish I could tell others but who knows? They are half the price of the originals but hoping for longevity. Been 5 months so far.

    Not the same

    This is has the same part number as my previous bulb but this one lacks the notch required for the plug to fit on. I will have to return it when I get time since it will not work. I ordered another one from an OEM distributer.

    Prevent Microbial Growth

    I use these bulbs in my HVAC air handler to prevent microbial growth. The ones I replaced were still lit, but from what I have read, they must be replaced either every year or every two years depending on which bulbs you buy because they lose their efficiency over time. I noted that both of the 2 yr. old bulbs I replaced had loose flaky white powder inside, which I assume is a sign of breakdown. Prior to installing these bulbs in my air handler there was evidence of microbial growth. They work.
