cutting in rush amperage??
It's in the outside unit of my heat pump. I've had 2 techs recommend it, but neither said it was urgent. I don't have a means to measure in rush current, but will assume it has lessened it. The units hold down was a nylon strap with hole for mounting screw. It broke during installation so I used some nylon strapping I had on hand. It has been in for 4 days with no problems so I believe it is working as expected.

Did not help my Daikin 4-ton A/C system
This kickstart did not work on my 4-ton Daikin system. The system is only one year old but needed some help to get below the recommended inrush current set by the manufacturer. It was about 25A over. I got the same inrush measurements w/o the Rectorseal unit and w/ the unit installed. No help at all. I ended up using a 5-2-1 hardstart system, which brought the inrush well below the recommended current requirement. This unit may work for other systems but it did not help mine. Works perfectly!

Lowers Inrush Current
Installed this kit to lower inrush current on my 25 y/o a/c unit. Before installation, current was measured @ 89 amps using a Fieldpiece SC440 clamp meter. After installation inrush current dropped to 40 amps. Product did what it is designed to do.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Kickstart works great.
