Better than I thought it would be.
Overall, this movie was much better than I thought it would be. I didn't see it when it came out in theaters because I just didn't care for the trailers I saw. It just didn't look that interesting, and I had already seen the anime it was based on. I'm glad I purchased this because the live-action movie, (which I feared would look terrible based on the fact that the manga and anime have a very specific Japanese animation look to them), was actually visually well done. I would give the movie around a 7.5 out of 10 rating because I really do like the characters in this series besides the Major and the movie really didn't show much of any character besides the Major, Batou and their Section Leader. I also feel as though this movie missed the depth of what the "Ghost in the Shell" was/is. It does kind of get explained in the movie to where the audience can get a grasp of the idea, but the depth of the concept/idea just doesn't seem to hit. Other than the two problems listed above, the special effects were much better than I anticipated, and the acting was also better than what I thought it would end up being. If you like Japanese manga or Japanese animation-type stories, this is definitely worth a purchase. The idea behind "Ghost in the Shell" is worth listening to and is portrayed well enough in the film. The plot of the movie was good, the both the visual effects and acting were much better than I thought it would be. I wouldn't rate this movie as a "must see", but it's well worth watching.

Ghost in the Shell
This is a very good sci-fi movie about what it is to be human and the meaning of self. The visual effects are great. This movie has been given negative press. I don't trust that. I like to see for myself. This movie will pull you in and win you over. Scarlett Johansson does a great job in the lead role and caries this movie with all the existential angst that she is meant to. I highly recommend this movie.

Interesting
While no where near the greatness of the anime movie this was based on, it did provide an interesting interpretation of the original material. It allowed this movie to be changed to a direct singlular notion of a human brain in an artificial body vs the notion of AI along with humanity and the complexities that are involved. Definitely could have been better.

Great action packed movie
Scarlett Johansson does a fabulous job in this movie. She is an action packed actress. If you like to be entertained, then this fast paced futuristic robotic movie will suit you fine.

Action, Adventure, and Scarlett Johannsson
Not a big fan of live "anime" but the movie was entertaining. It was a break from super-heros but less action than expected. Long slow periods made it lower on the entertainment scale than I like but overall, a good movie.

Ghost in the shell - Scarlett Johansson
I wasn’t certain what to expect. I didn’t follow the original anime production. Interesting story … I came across a T-Shirt that drew my attention (Ghost in the shell graphics) while attending a local Cosplay event. I searched the internet and found tons of information and decided to start my “ Ghost in the shell”adventures by purchasing this movie starring Scarlett Johansson…. I was captivated by the storyline, the action and by Scarlett. 🙌. I recommend the movie without a doubt. Up next, I’ll be diving into the original anime movies.

Far reaching but a FABULOUS visual
Came in great brand new condition. Caught the beginning in break room at COSTCO asked everyone what movie. Immensely interesting

Very good condition!

This movie is better than I thought it was going to be.
This has the feel of the older marvel movies. Good to watch a few times. Easy to fallow. Hope they make a 2nd one.
