Easy-to-reference geological formations in specific locations.
I've purchased several of the Roadside Geology books for different states. Being a novice, I appreciate the format with easy-to-understand text. The book is conveniently divided by highway areas and features black-and-white photos and some graphs to help illustrate what is being explained. It's a quick reference to what kind of geological formations you're seeing as you travel, with history of that particular area's geology.
