    The book, First Christmas, by Tomie dePaola, arrived earlier than expected and in pristine condition. The seller was both honest and fair in our dealings. I had requested Priority Mailing. She unintentionally missed the request. After mailing, the seller realized the mistake and immediately notified me. She apologized and refunded the expense of Priority Postage! The book arrived in plenty of time! If opportunity arose to purchase from evesbookgarden again, I certainly would!

    It's more than just the wind......

    The author became acquainted with the Beaufort Scale as a copy editor while working for a newspaper. He became aware of accuracy of the Beaufort Scale during a hurricane, and developed a fascination with Sir Francis Beaufort's life, the development of the Beaufort Scale, following the steps of the author from England to Montevideo. His enthusiasm is infectious, and the book is a permanent part of my library.
