    TERRIBLE auto-focus!

    I recently purchased this lens, and overall, it's a really nice piece of equipment. Solid build. Great optics. But one of the main reasons I purchased this lens was for the auto/face-tracking focus. My eyes have trouble focusing on the image on my camera's LCD so I spent the $ to have a lens make sure my focus was tack sharp. Unfortunately, I put my blind trust in this product & didn't have time to test it before using it for a job. The auto focus is TERRIBLE. It is constantly breathing in and out of focus like a VHS camcorder from the 80's. I'm sitting here at my editing computer with my stomach in knots because I'm afraid I just lost an entire day's worth of production, and my client is not going to be happy.     Best video lens for apsc and super 35 sony cameras.

    This is a great piece of equipment to use and film with. Although there are some notable downsides. The glass exhibits vignetting in the extreme most corners, as well as some blue fringing in the corners. You'll have to be weary of your shot composition but considering how much a comparable single lens solution would be this is a far more acceptable price. It is truly parfocal, offers real manual focus gearing, and also has autofocus that really can't be beat. If you are you shooting high end video you should consider this as a serious investment.

    High quality servo lens

    This bad boy will outweigh an APS-C photo camera but it's the best way to get a large focal range with a servo. Perfect for broadcast work or highly dynamic shooting situations.

    Good lens for the price!

    As a recent graduate getting into film I don’t have a massive budget, so I got this lens at a good price for my FS7M2 and it is way better than I expected. Very sharp, good DOF, easy to use, nice servo. All around great lens.

    Have Fujinon cinema lenses for the SONY fs5m2, and wanted a ZOOM lens which would engage the automatic functions of the camera.
