Blair Witch Volume 1: Rustin Parr covers stories relating to various incidences in the fictional accounts associated with Elly Kedward, the accused witch of Blair township, in 1785. In Blair Witch: Volume 1 -- Rustin Parr, the horrifying tale of a child killer is exposed. The year is 1941 and the location is Burkittsville, Maryland, which has undergone a name change from Blair. For the first time in nearly sixty years, the legends surrounding the Blair Witch are stirred up when an old hermit, Rustin Parr, speaks the chilling words: "I'm finally finished."<br><br>What he's finished is the ritualistic murders of seven children -- but, the fault lies not with him, as he was just following the commands of a ghost who came to him in the deep forest outside Burkittsville. After mystery and heinous nature of the crimes catches the attention of a government agency charged with investigating strange occurrences, a field agent, Doc Holliday, is sent to investigate. In Blair Witch: Volume 1 -- Rustin Parr, you assume her role as she uncovers pieces of the legend, conducts interviews with locals, and ferrets out the arcane rituals surrounding the so-called Blair Witch and her power over Rustin Parr. The game contains elements of various genres including puzzle solving, exploration, action and adventure, combat, and good old-fashioned sleuthing.<br> <br>Blair Witch: Volume 1 -- Rustin Parr utilizes the Nocturne engine and requires significant system requirements. A minimum of 950MB of free hard drive space is required. The game is designed to take advantage of 3D accelerator cards OpenGL, but not mandatory. Other features include multiple resolutions ranging from 320x200 to 1280x1024 (optimized for 640x480), subtitles if desired, 16- or 32-bit rendering, options for auto aiming, health, and running, and various types of controllers including mouse, keyboard, gamepad or appropriate combinations. Action is conducted from a third-person perspective as Holliday uses various gear such as a compass, Spectral Proximity Sensor (ghost-finder), night vision goggles, flashlight, audio recorder, chemistry lab and a journal. Weapons include a pistol, rifle, energy instrument Enhanced Charged Radiance Emitter and various small arms melee weapons.<br><br>Published by Gathering of Developers and distributed by Jack of All Games, Blair Witch: Volume 1 -- Rustin Parr offers fans of the series a chance to get down and dirty with the legacy of the Blair Witch.
