    Works

    Works well. It's relatively straightforward to transfer the electronics from the original key fob, although it's a bit of work to open the bonded Toyota fob. The nice thing about this one is that it snaps open, so it will be much easier next time around. Quality of materials and workmanship looks good so far. It remains to be seen how this holds up with several years of use. Considering that the original fob lasted about a decade, for what I paid, this will be amortized in a couple of years. The supplied screws easily strip their heads. I recommend you get some spares to have around for battery replacements. (M2, 0.4mm pitch, 3mm length)

    Replace worn out buttons

    I purchased two of these to replace 12 year old Prius fobs with worn out buttons. The hardest part of switching out the "guts" of the old fob to the new one is needing to open the old fob. You need a sharp blade to pry the old fob open. Once opened, simply remove the parts from inside and insert them into the new replacement fob shell. The replacement shell (which this review is for) is already open, so only needs to be *carefully* superglued together once the "guts" of the old fob are inserted. Makes the fob work like new! Buttons work perfectly and because you aren't programming anything - merely switching the pieces around - there are no compatibility issues. Be sure to remove the actual chip from the top end of the old fob. A little dark colored chunk of plastic lodged at the very top ...

    Great keyfob case replacement... much better than buying a whole new Toyota keyfob

    a good replacement for the original Prius fob. One thing that is bad is the plastic battery holder clip doesn't come off, so you have to bend it (and possibly break it) to slide a battery in. As well the case snaps together but I had it come apart once within the first month. A dab of superglue fixed that.

    Good replacement case...

    For your money this is a good replacement case. Make sure you superglue the case once you have everything inside from your old case...dont forget the small funny shaped ferrite bit in the old case as the car wont start without it!
