In Czechoslovakian Folk Ballet from Bratislava, the polkas, czardas, and "funny hat" dances from Lucnica's live performances are accompanied by playful arrangements from Slovakian conductor Miroslav Smid. Smid offers his listeners a glimpse of Czechoslovakia's musical traditions: "Lucnica's music is taken from Slovakia's rich heritage, a mirror of the country's landscapes: From the haunting improvisations of lonely shepherds to the rhapsodic, impassioned folk style of Slovakian fiddling." Liner notes include a brief introduction and track descriptions.
