The Rokinon 8mm f/3.5 Aspherical Lens for Nikon is a great addition to any photographers’ selection of lenses. This 8mm lens is designed to work perfectly with any type of manual Nikon camera and provide excellent performance. The lens features four petals on the outside edge to protect the glass and assist the user in focusing the lens. The petals are solid and are not to be removed, as they are an integral component of the Nikon cameras’ lens. The Rokinon 8mm lens is designed for Nikon SLR cameras and is a manual focus, which is the best way to focus a fish-eye lens. Fisheye lenses are made to give rounded and curvy looks to subjects; images on the sides of the photo usually look smaller than objects in the middle. Fisheye lenses have the ability to shoot objects at a minimum focusing distance to produce sharp, clear photos. The Rokinon 8mm f/3.5 Aspherical Lens for Nikon is called “aspherical” due to its’ ability to reduce spherical aberration. This Rokinon lens for Nikon is crafted to produce images that are high in contrast and are color accurate. A large glass aspherical lens is more difficult to manufacture than a spherical lens. That is why this type of lens is not usually seen on low quality cameras. Hybrid aspherical lenses with multi-layer coating, such as Rokinon lenses, produce sharp images with significantly less flare or ghosting.
