Wool still hold 70% of its insulation value even if it is wet. It also wicks moisture away from your body instead of trapping it against you. This item came exactly as described, brand new, never issued. Wrinkled from long term storage but who cares about that. There was no mothball smell or anything. Very happy. Item shipped fast, and shipping cost were very reasonable.
