Not as easy as you might think.
Not as easy as it appears. I had a very large tear in a vinyl office chair. The preparation of the tear took significantly longer than anticipated, and the piddling amount of materials that you get in the kit don't go far. Then there is the "curing" process. Gave up with the tiny little gizmo that comes with the kit, and used a heat gun on low setting. That worked well enough, but you have to keep moving the hot air to avoid melting the vinyl. Finished job was very marginal, but to be fair to the product, that is as a result of my lack of experience and expertise. If you were an experienced restorer, the product may well be just what you need. All in all, the cost of the kit and the time wasted means that I will just by another chair in future. worked for me
Worked for me on a black vinyl motorcycle dual seat cover. Almost new seat when penetrated by the clutch lever of another machine leaving a cut about 25mm long. I was dubious that the repair kit could be effective but decided it was worth a try given the cost of recovering the seat. Kit was quick and easy to use and black colour was easy as no mixing required to match, and one of the grain release patterns was a perfect match. Is the repair completely undetectable? Not quite as I know where it was but not noticeable at first glance.Worked for me on a black vinyl motorcycle dual seat cover. Good product that could do with a little more development if that is even possible.
Impressed with the way it filled and repaired the damaged area. The final finish did not match the sheen of the vinyl upholstery which was a little disappointing but overall it was a satisfactory outcome.
