Fortunately I was able to take the item back to RDG in person. They were very helpful and I exchanged it for a Dasqua caliper that cost only £3 more. This is a quality instrument with the following features: 1.Precision made and well-finished. 2.Lithium battery for longer life. 3. Positive click action on the buttons. 4.High repeatability of measurements.
