    Extremely light weight, sturdy and firm.

    I have used Manfrotto tripods in the past but this one surpasses the quality of aluminum by far. It has proven to be very sturdy out in the field. Carrying it around is a joy compared to the weight of aluminum tripods. The legs are easy to pull out and snap shut.

    Best Tripod

    Best tripod for the working photographer IMHO. I had the older version but left it at a gig and was gutted to lose it. Used the aluminum one for a year but so heavy and cold. The new swivel to easily change the column works very well. This is not one to stick in your back pack. I got the 190x for that. I have the 496 ball head on it for my Nikon kit. ...You will love this tripod. So quick to set up and down again as well...

    Highly Recommended

    An excellent tripod for my purposes: panorama and product photography. Feels stable (stiff ... but rely on thecentercolumn website for objective testing on that), light and well-designed. The ability to set the centre column in horizontal orientation is a plus. I added a Manfrotto MBAG75PN 75cm padded bag, which perfectly holds the tripod and a Markins ball head. I am 187cm tall and only need to raise the centre column to suit the panorama shot (with no tilt), so easily tall enough. All-in-all would highly recommend this tripod.

    Great for big glass, exceptional quality.

    Tried out several tripods in aluminum and carbon fiber including the Manfrotto 190 and discovered that the carbon fiber Manfrotto 190 vibrated (oscillated) less than the aluminum 190 . Both 190 versions vibrated more than the heavier Manfrotto 055 aluminum with my Tamron 150-600 G2 and Nikon D500 combo. I didn't have a carbon fiber 055 to test but took a gamble and am very, very pleased with the stability of this unit. My only hesitation is that I chose the 3 segment leg version over the 4 segment with the rationalization that fewer segments would be more rigid, with only anecdotal evidence. Based on specs, the 4 leg segment version is more compact and would be easier to pack than mine. Still all said you have to love the quality.

    Great sturdy tripod

    Great product if you starting out and want a sturdy tripod, great for outdoor, indoor but it cant fit on a backpack
