Product Information

MechAssault makes its second appearance on Xbox, once again offering multiplayer gaming through the Xbox Live service. Players return to the 31st century to pilot heavily armed, 40-foot-tall walking assault vehicles in a war for the future of humankind. As the subtitle might suggest, MechAssault 2 is designed to offer a deeper, more engaging single-player campaign than the original, for "Lone Wolf" players. Online multiplayer gaming is fully supported as well however, with features to promote team strategy and competition with players all around the world, regardless of region. The MechAssault games are the Xbox offshoots of Microsoft's long-running MechWarrior series of PC games, based on the BattleTech universe of tabletop strategy games.

    Great seller with exceptional communication. There was an issue where the post office lost the package for a week but later found it and moved it along. The seller shipped it quickly but the post office dropped the ball. Item arrive in excellent condition and was packaged with care in condition in mind. I was issued a refund for the post office error. This was completely unnecessary as it was no fault of the seller. I can’t recommend this seller enough!!! Thanks!!!!

    Fond memories

    I played this game in my childhood, and it really brings me joy to play it again. The graphics have actually held up pretty well and the gameplay is delightful. As a kid, my friends and I used to spend hours playing multiplayer. Also, there are frequent satisfying explosions- half the reason to get the game, if you ask me.

    Mechassault 2: Quick Summary

    Got the game in good condition, heck it even came with promotional material and an unscratched Xbox Live membership, granted it's expired 19 years ago, but that's fine, I am a bit of a collector anyway. Game runs great on Xbox 360's compatibility of Xbox games, but wont run on Xbox Series X, I've yet to also test run the game on original hardware, but the gameplay can get a little janky with the Xbox 360 compatibility. Otherwise, its one of my childhood favorites that I can now reconnect with.

    A Classic

    Mechassault 2 might be more arcade for the more simulator-oriented Mechwarrior fans. But undoubtedly it is part of the BattleTech franchise. This is the very game that got me into the IP, and even to thus day I play Mechassault 2, even while currently marathoning Mechwarrior. My only real complaint with the game is the voice acting, which, apart from David Scully's role as the antagonist, is sub-par.

    Mechassault fan

    I love the game so much! I love that it takes place in the future, and I love the mech' s. I love the campaign, and I love the multiplayer maps. IT'S SUCH AN AWESOME GAME!!!!

    Awesome

    I always wanted to own this game and even though the servers are long dead for multiplayer i can still play with my 4 year old split screen. Can't do that much these days.
